What we collect
If you join our mailing list ("Join the Club"), we collect your email address so we can send you our monthly email.
If you use our contact form, we collect your first name, last name, email address and your message so we can reply to you.
If you leave a comment or sign up as a site member, we collect the details you give us, such as your name, email address and what you post.
When you visit the site, our website platform (Wix) and any analytics tools we use automatically collect some technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and how you arrived at the site. This helps us understand what people read and keep the site working and secure.
Why we use it and our legal basis
We send the monthly email only because you asked for it (your consent). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.
We use contact form details to reply to you, which is in our legitimate interest in running the blog.
We use technical and analytics information to run, secure and improve the site, which is also in our legitimate interest.
We never sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
Our website, mailing list and forms are hosted by Wix.com Ltd, which processes data on our behalf. Some of this data may be processed outside the UK, and Wix uses appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, when it does.
Some posts may include affiliate links, advertising or embedded content (for example from Instagram, Facebook or YouTube). If you click those links or view that content, the other company may collect information about you under its own privacy policy. If a post is sponsored or contains affiliate links, we will say so in the post.
We may also share information if the law requires it.

We keep your email address on our mailing list until you unsubscribe. We keep contact form messages for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry, and no longer than two years. Analytics data is kept in line with Wix's retention settings.

Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it, delete it, or limit or object to how we use it. Children
This site is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
